Description of Practice

Joe has more than 20 years of accounting, auditing, and tax experience with employee benefit plans, nonprofit organizations, and large to mid-size companies. Joe joined the firm in 2004, and prior to that he worked for other accounting firms in eastern Pennsylvania.

Joe’s nonprofit experience includes volunteer, health and welfare, human services, wildlife and conservation, and health care organizations. He is certified to perform audits in accordance with A-133 and Yellow Book.

Additionally, Joe’s employee benefit plan experience includes defined benefit, defined contribution, and 403(b) audits. Joe currently conducts audits for more than 20 benefit plans ranging in size from 100 participants to more than 14,000.

  • Conduct audit and tax preparation for small to mid-size companies with revenues ranging from $15 million to $250 million.
  • Manage the audit of 15 employee benefit plans, which include a defined benefit plan and a 403(b) plan for a large grocery chain and retailer/wholesaler in the Pittsburgh region.
